ΚΟΙΝΟ ΔΕΛΤΙΟ ΤΥΠΟΥ ARTEMIS Space Observatory & Δήμος Καρπενησίου Starlight Bridges: Community Astrotourism through the ARTEMIS Space Observatory, in Karpenisi–Evrytania regional unity https://www.starlight-bridges.com Καρπενήσι, 26 Απριλίου 2026 Με επιτυχία ολοκληρώθηκε το 2ο Εργαστήριο Αστροτουρισμού, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 25 και 26 Απριλίου 2026 στο Καρπενήσι, στο πλαίσιο του διεθνούς έργου ARTEMISNET – Starlight Bridges, του Γραφείου Αστρονομίας για την Ανάπτυξη της Διεθνούς Αστρονομικής Ένωσης, με τη συνεργασία του Δήμου Καρπενησίου. Η πρώτη ημέρα περιλάμβανε τη δράση «Γνωριμία με την Αστροβραδιά» στον Προφήτη Ηλία Μυρίκης, με παρουσίαση του νυχτερινού ουρανού, αφηγήσεις και παρατήρηση με τηλεσκόπιο, δίνοντας έμφαση στην προστασία του σκοτεινού ουρανού από τη φωτορρύπανση. Τη δεύτερη ημέρα πραγματοποιήθηκε στο ΚΕΠΕΑ Καρπενησίου το εργαστήριο εκπαίδευσης αστροξεναγών, με πρακτική προσέγγιση στις αστροξεναγήσεις και στη δράση Starlight Path. Βασικός στόχος ήταν η δημιουργία της πρώτης τοπικής ομάδας αστροξεναγών στην Ευρυτανία. Εννέα γυναίκες από την τοπική κοινωνία θα αποτελέσουν τις πρώτες αστροξεναγούς και πολλαπλασιαστές του θεσμού στους νέους. JOINT PRESS RELEASE of ARTEMIS Space Observatory & Municipality of Karpenissi Starlight Bridges: Community Astrotourism through the ARTEMIS Space Observatory, in Karpenisi–Evrytania regional unity https://www.starlight-bridges.com Karpenissi, 26 th of April 2026 The 2nd Astrotourism Workshop was successfully completed on 25 and 26 April 2026 in Karpenisi, within the framework of the international project ARTEMISNET – Starlight Bridges, supported by the Office of Astronomy for Development of the International Astronomical Union, in cooperation with the Municipality of Karpenisi. The first day included the activity “Introduction to the Astro-Night Experience” at Prophet Elias of Myriki, featuring a presentation of the night sky, storytelling, and telescope observations, with special emphasis on the protection of the dark sky from light pollution. On the second day, the astro-guide training workshop took place at the Karpenisi Environmental Education Center, with a practical approach to astro-guided tours and the Starlight Path activity. The main objective was the creation of the first local team of astro-guides in Evrytania. Nine women from the local community will become the first astro-guides and multipliers of the initiative among young people. On 25–26 April 2026, Karpenisi hosted the 2nd Astrotourism Workshop as part of the international ARTEMISNET – Starlight Bridges project, supported by the Office of Astronomy for Development of the International Astronomical Union. ✨ The first day featured an immersive Astro-Night Experience at Prophet Elias of Myriki, with storytelling, telescope observations, and awareness on dark sky protection. 🌠 The second day focused on training new astro-guides through hands-on activities and the Starlight Path experience. 👏 A major milestone: Nine local women will become the first astro-guides of Evrytania, helping inspire young people and strengthen sustainable astrotourism in the region.
